It appears tied to Ground War, so it may matter more to players who prefer vehicles, open sightlines and longer fights rather than standard six-versus-six matches.

The Mode Lineup Could Grow Quickly

Ground War is expected at launch, while Kill Block may expand beyond its early Gunfight connection. Other reported modes include Prisoner Rescue, Bounty, Infected, Drop Zone, Gun Game, Cyber Attack, Grind, Kill Confirmed and Fire Team. That is a wide spread. Some will probably arrive later, though. Infinity Ward may hold certain modes back for seasonal updates instead of putting everything on day one.

Weapons and Equipment Seen Outside the Beta

References to the MP7, Odin, Mosin-Nagant, 5-5 Striga, Vel, Song 9mm RPG and Juliet have started circulating. Footage has also pointed to pistols, shotguns and unusual equipment such as a revive gun, defibrillators, a handheld railgun, the Joker launcher and a Juggernaut grenade launcher. The Odin looks like a straightforward assault rifle, while the Mosin-Nagant could give marksman players a slower, more deliberate option.

What Players Should Believe

Not every file or clip tells us what will ship. The Prestige Master icon, for example, may be a rough asset rather than a finished reward. The same caution applies to seasonal weapons and possible DMZ-related material. The useful takeaway is that the beta is not the full game. Expect more maps, modes and gear after September 1, but keep expectations in check until the studio confirms its plans.
